We can tailor a kapahaka tutoring package to suit the needs of your school.
It maybe that you would like an introduction to kapahaka across the whole school, either in classes or in syndicates. Your may also want specialised teaching for a school performance roopu.
Because we are located in Wellington this service is only limited to the Wellington region at this time though it is our intention to contract tutors in other parts of the country.
Our tutors are experienced kapahaka practitioners - most are not trained teachers so sessions will need to be supervised by school staff.
Karen will work with your school staff to plan a noho marae for classes / teams / kapahaka roopu. This noho can take place at your local marae or if you are in Wellinton the marae can be organised for you.
Karen will customise a learning package to suit your needs. This could include us working with your staff to plan and prepare tamariki for this experience. We are able to broker a partnership and work with tangata whenua where necessary to facilitate the use of the marae and access the support of local kaumatua and other resource folk.
